I will be an Artist-in-Residence at (PRESENT) Project in September, along with artists Florence Carbonne (France), Swoon (New York), Dinorah de Jesus Rodriguez (Miami), Hadley Nunes (Honolulu), Keith Tallett (Big Island), and Bryan Welch (New York). Keith and I exhibited work in CONTACT this month, an exhibition and community programming project that explored the notion of “contact” as it relates to the Hawaiian Islands, its people, and their experiences. The exhibition is at the Honolulu Museum of Art School April 10 – April 20, 2014 but our exterior installations are remaining up through the middle of May.

Please join me for Finding the Forest, an exhibition at Maui Arts and Cultural Center from January 27 – March 30, 2013. The forest is a refuge, resource and inspiration and accomplished artists and craftsmen from around the state to see how they would perceive and express new ideas on this theme, encouraging investigation of contemporary art-making from conservative to complex. The exhibition outcome will raise public awareness and spark dialog with traditional and non-traditional works in painting, sculpture, furniture, installation, film and poetry.
